I have an instrument that previously was owned by a famous tuba player. It is a great horn for me. The instrument I have is the Meinl Weston 45 SLP F tuba that Warren Deck helped to develop. I find it to be an incredibly fantastic instrument and not just because Warren was the original owner and helped to design it. With a little work, I polished the valves, the horn is wonderful. The low C is not funky as on some F's and the high register is great.

My question to all of you is: Do you have one of those instruments? and if so, is the instrument worthy of the accolades bestowed on it by its' famous owner and was it really worth the money you spent?

Thanks for your answers.
