Hello all. A couple of years ago I attended an auction and ended up purchasing a Cerveny BBb tuba. After a little research I realized that it was the same instrument mentioned in the tuba journal several times.( Fall 1992 letter to the editor) It has four clockspring rotary valves with external tension adjusting screws, aproximate bore size is .888,20 inch bell. I've learned it was made in 1903. It has a beautiful gold medal emblem on the bell. It has required extensive repairs and the bell may have to be replaced, but it has a gorgeous warm sound. I was wondering if any tubists out in cyberspace own one of these old horns, or know someone who does. I would like to hear from anyone who is interested in these old Cerveny kaiser tubas.
