The makers and buyers of big CC tubas are basically trying to make their horns sound like a BBb tuba. If you already are a BBb player and want a big sound then stay with BBb and save a bundle of money. You can still find huge old Conns and Martins on ebay. For under $3500 you can get a new Cervany (many different models to choose from, some very big) and you should really take a look at the Jupiter. For big bucks you can get a Willson BBb that is huge!
