I have a serious situation,I'm looking for a tuba,but I'm not sure which direction to take.
I'm not a professional,but I have played in the local community band. The last time I played was about ten years ago,and I had a Yamaha ybb 641, which was a BBb horn. Searching the net,I noticed that most of,if not all of,the horns of any size seem to be of the CC variety,which I've never played.
Now for the questions...Should I buy a CC horn,and learn the fingerings? Are there any big BBb horns out there?(6/4).Should I buy new or used?..Who makes the best big horn for the money?...As a non pro,what is reasonable, money wise...Finally,does anyone know about a website called "The Tuba"?..they are offering a Russian tuba modified by Elaton,a German company..Thanks in advance for the help...Milton
