A 6/4 is a totally a sound unto its own. It depends on how well you can control it and blend with your group. It's interesting that Mr. Arnold Jacobs (as does Mr. Pokorny) played most of his stuff on the big horn. Just check out the latest CD and see what you think.
The main thing is can you play MUSIC--dynamics, blend, balance, intonation, etc.?
