I played Bride of the Waves in H.S. and also used it to audition for USM when I played with them. It's not terribly hard, sounds impressive, and is fun to play. Of course I didn't play it on a euphonium but it sounds good on one too =) Just not as good as a tuba, of course WHAT DOES?? Funny thing is after I auditioned using that solo, the next Spring it was the prepared piece for the wind ensemble. Maybe the tuba teacher was trying to tell me something.
