I really don't know just what it takes to get a horn ready for silver, but this horn is not a year old and has no scratches. Even the 2 little dents don't have scratches. Does the lacquer removal process put scratches in the horn? How is the lacquer removed? I would think one would dip the whole horn in a tub of some type of stripper or spray it on then hose the whole thing off. And if there was some lacquer left on somewhere repeat the prior process untill it is off rather than try to buff it off. Because as luck goes the stubborn lacquer would be in a spot where I couldn't get to with any buffer.
