I agree about the loans part and using a good school horn if its available, BUT
once that ed student graduates, he/she probably can't use the school horn.
His/her chops and overall playing ability will steadily deteriorate without any means of practice and he/she will also have no ability to perform anymore. Both of those COULD ultimately have a negative affect on teaching ability. (NOTE use of word COULD)
