My daughter uses your method on the oboe, and I use your method in "emergencies" (extremely fast applications)...
...but personally I'm not quite proud enough of my "k" sound to begin beats with it - if I can avoid it. If at all possible, I'll do the old textbook ttk-ttk-ttk-ttk thing.
