Hello All -
I'm living in NYC and am looking for a teacher and wondered if anyone on the BBS has any recommendations. I was trained as a trombone and baritone player years ago but have recently dove in head first into the tuba after a long absence from brass in general. I've been with the tuba for a couple of months now - and over that time I am simultaneously sounding much better and getting progressively worse, if that makes any sense at all. I'm advanced in that I already am familiar with BBflat fingerings and bass clef notation; however I feel like a complete novice because I feel that I have to learn how to blow all over again. So that's where I'm coming from: I'm looking for a good teacher for some much needed guidance. Any recommendations for teachers in the Brooklyn/Manhattan area?
Thanks so much for some advice/recommendations --
