If I remember correctly, in _Song and Wind_ it's mentioned that although Jacobs used that double tuba, he played the Bydlo solo on the BBb side.
In another instance, a Russian orchestra who recently made the trip through the US was populated by a tubist who played everything on a BBb. At some point during the visit, probably at a workshop or something similar, someone asked him if he even used that BBb for Bydlo, and he said, "Of course, I do", picked up his tuba, and nailed it.
I don't think there's any definitive sound for this other than "spot-on".
