The Floyd Cooley 2 helleburg gives the most resonance on big horns I've heard. I use that mp on my pt6 and my yorkbrunner.
I had the same experience when I bought my york. It is quite possible that you gained many habits on the horn your played before the 2165, and now you are playing your low G's with a different air stream than the other notes. In my case, I had a nice low G on my PT6, but when I got the york, I could hardly play that note at all. Maybe a new mouthpiece would help, but what I needed (and still need) was to simply play with good, efficient air, and to reprogram my old habits. You can play a thousand different mouthpieces on that note, but your equipment may not need to change at all. Try blowing the G above the pitch, then below the pitch, then take a big breath, and play the note right where it goes. It works everytime.
hope it helps
