Bryan, apologies for being so strident. Dallas Symphony made the greatest in the world when they built their hall. They limited the seating to (AT)1500. Not only do the seats fill up, but it is an acoustical gem, probably the best concert hall west of the Mississippi. I would hate to think how many times I played American Salute, Tribute to Elvis, Musical Medleys, etc, BUT I can tell you about wonderful performances of Holst, Mahler, and Brahms. I gladly accept pops music. Anybody who blows it off should remember three words "Jabba the Hutt", possibly harder than anything I have ever had to play. Coming to an orchestra near you.
