In Texas, you have district, region, area and state. You have three prepared pieces, usually either Blazhevich or Kopperasch, and sight reading. Sight reading is only up to area, then its just the pieces. At region, three 5A and two 4A tubas advance to area. From there, three 5A and one 4A advance to state. There are six areas, you do the math.
