I'm really curious about this "absolute pitch" thing. How qualitative is it? For example, given that you know that the C of a given instrument has been accurately tuned, can you deduce the temperament of the tuning if I play any of the other notes in the same octave, but not the C? In other words, is your hearing accurate enough to determine the distribution of the comma without any other pitch reference?
