I would say "IT DEPENDS!" Some people want an F that sounds like a CC (or BBb) playing up high. Others (myself among them) feel the F is a different instrument, and play it accordingly. Also, what kind of playing are you doing? Orchestral F tuba playing is different from quintet, which is different from solo playing. Do you want ONE DO ALL F, or do you see yourself owning a couple?
