I am reposting this as I think it got buried under the (AT)!#$$%^ expensive tuba post the first time.
I was cleaning the rotory valve on my Mirafone 1290 the other day, and the rotor appears that it may be hollow. It is a .770ish rotor that is about 2 years old. I am thinking about scooping or beveling (or both) the rotor out a little bit. Does anyone have any experience with this? Are the newer Mirafone rotors really hollow?
