The original was satin, but I understand that it is now bright. This was the evidence used by an eyewitness reporting on these pages to conclude that it has had the bejeesus buffed out of it. And it also explains some initial confusion about whether the instrument in Phillip Donatelli's lap is really the same horn.
So, the Yamaha must be a cosmetic copy of the *current* York. I wonder if it has the same little dents?
