I've heard a number of people on this list say that they have a four-octave range, etc. To get that range I would have to switch mouthpieces and/or instruments. (Of course I could get a five octave range if I used a baritone mouthpiece!) Perhaps I'm missing the obvious, but how does one determine their "range"? Marc
