Has anyone ever noticed that there seems to almost be another partial between (on a
BBb tuba) low Bb and the open Eb below that? It is very noticable when playing
either low G or low F and attempting to lip the note up or lip slur up to another note (it seems to be one whole step above either of these two notes).
What is the deal with this? Is there a scientific explanation? Or am I having delusions from spending too much time in the practice room?
