I owned a Meinl-Weston 25 in college and for a few years afterward. Other than minor difficulty in lipping up C, C# and D in the staff, this was one remarkable horn. I would recommend it to any student in his early years. The valves are marvelous, the construction is excellent, it can be played at amazing volume levels, and it's worth the extra dollars. Call Dave Fedderly at Baltimore Brass.
