The photos are a little dark and hard to make out much detail, but it looks like it could be a BBb based on the length of the 2nd and 3rd valve tubing. When you measured the height was it from the bottom of the bow to the top of the bell, or just from the bottom bow to top branch? 30" seems a little short to me.
In either case, you got a bargain for what you paid. I expect that it probably needs a valve replating and may need some joints looked at, but everything else is probably cosmetic. You should be able to get it into good playing shape for between $500 to $1000. Good luck with it.
