I've also heard about this rumor. A friend of mine said that his friend that lives in NYC heard that Warren Deck had left the NY Phil. If this is true, man, what a loss to the world of tuba playing. As one guy in my studio put it, 4 major job openings in the tuba world is unbelievable.
