The "warm body" phenomenon that I keep hearing over and over just doesn't fly. I'm a Ph.D. who has taught full-time at the college level for several years with very high teaching evaluations. But I can't get a job at public high schools since I'm not certified (and surprisingly don't even qualify). If I did get a job, would I be a "warm body"? Don't think so. By the way, lots of those who actually do teach at public schools without certification are fine teachers. Marc
