The Meinl-Weston 25 is dramatically different from the King. It has a dark, almost to the point of being woofy, German sound. I think it lacks the warmth and feel of the better Kings I have played. But if you want that dark sound, the 25 will do it and the King won't.

Every horn holds water in unfortunate spots. I have to tilt my Miraphone over my right should to remove water from the fourth valve tubing, and once a night I have to spin the York Master. I have to pull and dump all slides between every tune on the Yamaha 621. And so on.
