Actually, Gene switched to a Laskey 30H a while ago. Both are excellent mouthpieces, especially for the big, contrabass tuba parts like th Ride or Fountains. I have played both, and like the Laskey a little better.

I'm not a fan of heavyweight MPs, though, and would recommend the M1C over the M1CB. Be sure to get the right shank size for your tuba. Either Scott Laskey or Matt at Dillon's will be able to advise you on the best fit for your horn.
