I'm gonna be auditioning for the NSO in a couple of weeks. This is my first audition for a professional group. Are these audtions screened? Are you able to ask for a "re-do" if you mess something up? I've been concentrating on excerpts and haven't spent much time on the RVW concerto. Do they ask for the concerto in the first round or will that be asked for later. Thanks for any info/advice you may have.
