"Re-do" if you "mess something up"? Not too be too brutal, but I would save the money spent of travelling to Washington. No one has ever won an audition by accident that I know of. If you are unsure of whether you are prepared enough to be offered the job, then you aren't. Why audition if you already know that you will fail?

When you are truly ready and have masterred the music on a world class level, then you will have a chance.

If you are still set on going, then don't worry about what the committee will do or say or what anyone else there does or says. Just walk in the room, sit down, and play the music. Afterwards get on your plane and go home and continue to prepare yourself for the next opportunity. Here is a hint. The same tunes will be on the next audition, and the next, and the next, and the next.
