I am struggeling with pretty much the same experience. I will leave my school nameless, but I had transfered in there (it is a state school) after attending 2 small conservatories. The attitude level is WAY different. The dissapointing part is you have to work 3x as hard to keep your self improving. Best advice is don't let it get to you because they have no bearing on what you do after you are done with school.

Also see if you can get a good quintet together, I have a great one and it's a nice breath of fresh air because they all feel the same way I do about the students and faculty at my school.
