and that is true. No "high horse" here at all, when it comes to finances,
there are (for the most part) universal maxims that you simply have to follow.

If you "need" a car, and want financing, someone will loan you the money,
and promptly repo the car if you fail in the obligation of your word to pay back.
Most people know this, and so (or at least I thought) most folks without the means to make the payments don't borrow the dough.

Why should any other loan be any different. If you don't have a good strong feeling that you can pay it back, w.t.f. are you doing borrowing the money? Sean IS right, times are different....but the idea that education should be in some hallowed setting of solitude and devoid of blood sweat and loss of sleep really has to change with the times too.

Put another way, if you haven't got a handle on your life now, what convinces you that you'll get a clue down the road - when you should expect even more daunting decisions in your future?
