Dear Jim,
I am looking for a programme that can recognise written music myself. I have demo discs from Finale and Sibelius. However here in Australia Sibelius costs twice as much as Finale!
Is it worth it? Who knows. I am an amateur musician who plays the concertina ( you may not know what the concertina is!). I am also the president of our local brass band and play cornet. I can't lay any claims to being a top class musician but the ability to scan music in would be a great advantage to me. I am an instrument maker and my concertinas seem to have a good reputation, check out Concertina Net. Any further research you do on the perfect copying programme would be appreciated.

Yours Musically,
Richard Evans
