The D tuba is a cut down Mirafone 184CC. It plays great, just as it did in CC. The intonation, however, suffered in the conversion.

The G tuba is a prototype built by Mirafone. It also plays great and has interesting intonation quirks as well.

The LA Phil performed Overture to Benvenuto Cellini a few years ago and there were some strange fingerings marked in the tuba part. After staring at it for a while I realized that they were alternate fingerings for the G tuba! Very strange.
