Bill Bell's old King CC was a 4 rotary valve instrument. King made CC and BBb rotary valve tubas clear back in the 1920s-40s. The BBb were called "Monster Tubas" by King as they were a big, what we now call 6/4 horn . The CC were a bit smaller, more 5/4 or 4/4 size. They used string action and with the long keys were really quite agile. Nice horns many think. Hard to get now though.
