I posted what I thought was the worst compensation I had heard for a gig below. So, what was the worst/most bizarre compensation you received for a gig?

For me, in the Fall of 1988, I played euphonium in a little dixieland band. We had a gig for George H. W. Bush, who was the V.P. at the time, and running for President. Some time after that gig, we gave a special performance at a private home in Marietta, Ohio. That particular family made their money in the dairy business (Broughton Dairy Products). The fruit of our labor (a 90 minute concert), earned us a a case of chocolate milk to share between our quintet and the vocal quartet that performed after us.

This wouldn't have been so bad, but after drinking a couple quarts of the chocolate milk, our set player (being the comical one) turns to me and says, "hey guys, these expired 10 days ago."

I was sick for two days!
