Hey, who wants to pay $800 for a new bell, when you got that old King tuba for $650? Here's the catch, I don't have them now, but I am onto a new manufacturing process and material(not brass, not carbon fiber, don't ask)that will make these bells available to the common man (or woman) for half the price of a new one. Acoustical properties are of course not the same as brass, but results so far are not unfavorable. We are still in the early stages of product developement, but I just thought I'd put out some feelers and see how many folks here at the BBS would be interested in one. (What's the sense in doing something like this without the input of the tuba community, right?) I'm sorry I can't give out any details, but I'll post them when I can, providing there is enough interest to see it through.
I welcome comments, suggestions, and most of all pre-orders!
