Let's IMAGINE for a moment that money was not important, and I could 'have' any tuba I wanted, what SHOULD it be for my needs? I already own an 983Eb - used mostly for solo/quintet-sometimes band, and once in a while pull out a Kalison D.S. CC when needed. But I don't really care for the Kalison much- just my preference. Now I can guess that everyone's 1st thought might be... YORKBRUNNER!!!

Yes, those 6/4 horns are quite impressive, but do I really need that much power (me being a college kid w/some gigging on the side)? Or should I think of a 5/4, perhaps a 4/4 horn that can still pack a punch- not as big, but will still give me the FLEXIBILITY with a nice big dark sound, just more managable than a larger horn.

Question, comments, words of wisdom? I'm sure that at least a few guys out there because of their horn choice good or bad.

Thanks in advance
