Due to the apparent inconsistancy of the airlines' treatment of tuba players, I thought that it might be interestng to see if there are any noticable patterns, based on our collective experience. If you have an experience to share, be sure to include each of the following topics, so there is a basis of comparison:
1) Name of the Airline.
2) Did they charge oversize fee? If so, how much?
3) Were you able to get it loaded at the gate? Was that difficult to do?
4) Was there any damage?
5) On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being good), how would you raye your overall experience with that airline (tubawise)?
Anything else you would like to share about your experience would be fine.
