When slurring between two notes on my piece-of-crap 500 year-old Conn CC
(using valves, not lip slurs), the second note often fails to come out for a split
second, causing it to sound like I missed the note. After playing my teacher's
like-new BBb tuba (with rotary valves), the problem went away. Is it not having
rotary valves, the age or a possible repair needed, or what? Has anyone else
experienced this?
