Sorry you felt it necessary to scold. The comment was honest and sincere from one who had heard and has a copy of the album, taken from the guy who co-owned the Eb sousaphone used in the recordings. "The Carnival of Venice" aside, I think the most remarkable aspect of the record is Bell Bell's singing. This comes across as well as can be and shows his musicality. By the time this album was distributed, I had performed many of the pieces on it and RVW had not written THE concerto. Lois is going to an awful lot of trouble to get this and I idid not want her to assume it was a great example of Bell's playing, however historic it is.
