O.K., repair guys and metal experts...what effect does a detached bell have to the overall sound production? I have a couple tubas with detached bells, and a few without. I am basically a bassline dixieland/ polka-umpah player, so I'm not versed enough to tell the difference when I play the detached vs one piece. Some imput, please?
