It has come to my attention, over time that many teachers will teach a different style of playing than what you may know. What I mean by that is that some will want your mouth wide open all the time, some will want it gradually closing as you go up and opening down. Some will want just firming of the lips instead of bringing them closer. Just things that really affect the sound of the instrument. I have also noticed that if one plays with a certain style they may have been taught that a teacher from the other style will not be pleased with their performance. Has this been everyone else's experience or not? Which teachers teach the "wide open" style of playing? Which teachers teach the gradually changing of the jaw? I know it will have a vast difference on where some people would like to go to school. What is the most generally accepted "style" of embrochure? (no wars please) I am mostly interested in what teachers teach which style as I am looking for a place to study.
Thanks,
Curious
