I'm looking for a mouthpiece for my Eb that has a very similar rim shpae and cup width to the Bach 18E, but with a shallower cup. My tuba is just too flat to lip up to the pitch of the brass band I'm playing with; the tuning slide is all the way in, and I've had the shank of the 18E turned, on a Morse 0 taper, to go all the way in the receiver. I'm hoping that a shallower cup will raise the pitch enough that I don't have to have the leadpipe cut. Suggestions? .... I need a similar width cup to this one; I already get my entire mouth, including the corners, inside this one.
