Wrong note in American Salute?

I'm playing Morton Gould's American Salute for the second time in a year and I'm convinced there is a wrong note in my part. It's the very exposed Db dotted half on the first beat of measure 67. The last time I played it sounded so awful that I checked with the conducter, but he said that it was a Db in the score and that I should play it as written. A Bb sounds correct to me, and unless someone can explain why this note is correct I'm just going to play a Bb without asking permission this time. If this was Shoenberg I might distrust my instincts, but this is pretty much a pops piece.

Anybody run into this before? Am I the only one that feels this way?
