The whole BBb vs. CC thing is a crock, just like the rotor vs. piston thing. If rotors are so much better, then why are the most expensive tubas in the world and the pros that use them-- dare I say, "piston"??? (i.e. Patrick Sheridan's piston Eb). There is and seemingly always has been a fetish to own or desire to own something better than Joe down the block. "I have a gigantic 6/4 Meinl Weston CC that I don't need" or "I own a silver-plated $13,000 Hirsbrunner, but live in a $400/month apartment"... Gimme a break, let your music do the talking, not some hyped-up equipment....
