Yeah, leaking valves is a real possibility. I think the valves on this horn have been replated at least once. When the slides are pulled quickly, you get a pop, but you have to give 'em a yank. A slow pull doesn't do it. I think the valves on my York will hold pressure for about a day and a half, which bespeaks the good work of Wayne Tanabe and the difference between "good" and "not so good".
