I've seen the same thing in Yamaha and Mirafone ads, however, where the same photo is used for both the BBb and CC sister horns (Yam 621's, Mira 186's).

That further suggests that not too many were actually made in CC. I like the ergnomics of this valve cluster, though. Piston horns with the more vertical row of pistons seem to make me bend my wrist sideways, whereas this configuration keeps them finger tendons in a line with the forearm.

I'm not sure, but I think most of the Grand Rapids horns actually say "Grand Rapids" on the engraving. I'm not sure, though. What year is this catalog?
