OK -- lets say I'm playing a BBb tuba (which I am). Let's say I encounter a D that is five leger lines below the staff. It's not correct to refer to that as a "pedal D", is it? I was under the impression that it wasn't correct to refer to a note as a "pedal" unless it was at the fundamental of the instrument or lower (i.e. pedal Bb or lower). Am I wrong?

Also, anyone happen to know of any good publishers for tuba/euphonium-type pieces? I have a few compositions I'd like to get published so they're earning money instead of sitting in my closet...

Thanks,
Eric
