Since you asked opinions, here's mine, preceded by a question: "why pistons?"

If you were planning to get two instruments,
For what you are budgeting per horn,
you could get three Miraphone 186's !

A high school tuba section could spend the same or more money
and come out a lot worse!
Likewise, you'd be hard pressed to get the consistency,
durable workmanship, and longevity
of such an instrument for that kind of money!

Rotors are easier to maintain than pistons,
they do not tempt the user to remove and replace them as often
(thus avoiding an oops-drop and badgering the precious valvemetal)
and the Mira should make ANY section leader proud to play.
