Browsing (actually, salivating) through the Brasswind catalog, I noticed a Mirafone BBflat contrabass trombone with F attachment (model 57F, $4395). Has anyone played one of these? Is there much written for contrabass trombones in the orchestral literature? I've read that film scores sometimes call for them. Are they used in symphonic bands? In military bands, here or abroad?
