I find it hard to believe that some of my younger colleagues aren't persuing this venue for playing. I wish I were 10 years younger, THIS IS A GREAT GIG!!!!!!!!! Do not hesitate to apply and count yourself extremely fortunate if you get this gig. Sousaphone or not, you will get more face time playing here than if you were practicing for that subsistance living orchestra gig and selling shoes. Yes, I am stepping on toes, but facts are facts, if you want to play full time, for most of us this is the way it will happen. Good luck and don't pass up a golden opportunity.
